Jimmie Johnson is in first then you have Matt Kenseth in second. Who will take the championship? Can Jeff Gordon or Dale Jr. make it or have a chance to win?

I think that if Mark Martin's crew would get their act together, he can win the rest of the races and take the chase. But I see Burton holding strong and he mat surprise us all.

If they can win the next few races, any one of the drivers can win the chase.

well, now, here's the thing.. i think tony has another championship in him..but who knows. i mean in 5 weeks when it's all reset and jimmie has to pull out more wins for the champsion it's truly hard to say what will happen.
i used to say that jimmie will not win, b/c he's a good enough driver, but he doesn't have the desire. i think he actually might be geting thirsty enough, and well, he definitely pulled the race around on sunday to get a win.. so at this point in time. i'm holding on for the ride, b/c your guess is as good as mine...esp since it's so open as to who the final 10 might be right now.

Most likely Jimmie Johnson, although Jeff Burton & Kevin Harvick are quietly lurking in the background.

It's hard to think that my favorite driver Jimmie Johnson would lose a 4th straight cup after leading late in the season, but obviously its happened before.

attainable? by utilising the numbers, it extremely is nonetheless attainable. probable? No. Gordon & Johnson are so far forward at this factor, that Tony'd could win the final 3 events, whilst Jeff & Jimmie end thirtieth or worse in all 3. Bowyer could could end approximately twentieth or worse. After Texas, drivers will start to be mathematically eradicated from the Chase. except Tony has an extremely reliable run, & the perfect-3 screw up, he would be one in all them. and rather, the unfold is a hundred ninety factors according to race. you may permit for between the leaders no longer commencing the relax races. rather no longer likely, yet attainable. Taking that into consideration, even Truex is mathematically nonetheless in it.

If Junior's team gets their darn act together, then maybe. I hope Gordon doesn't. It looks like Jimmie right now, but he was leading at this time in 2004 & didn't win it, so it's too early to tell. I just don't want it to be Gordon or Johnson.
