At first glance this question seems like a no-brainer.
Anyone who preys upon children for sexual gratification should be dealt with harshly.
However....laws tend to be black and white with not too much gray area.I recall hearing once about a case where a 19 yr old man took nude pictures of his 16 yr old wife(somewhere in the South LOL).They were engaged in a legal marriage,but the photos were in violation of the law.Because she was legally a minor,and he an adult....dude went to jail.
Some older couples I know got together at when they were quite young,and stayed together.
If a man of 36 falls in love with a woman of 31 it's OK.But if that same couple meets when he's 21 and she's 16 (same age difference) we run into trouble.
I honestly know older couples that met like this who are still together today.
But......BUT....if we're talking about a "mature" person (say...in their mid 20's or older...) who tries to put the moves on anyone under the age of 18 (at the VERY MINIMUM!).....now we're talking about a creep!
Pedophilia is a predatory state of mind.Predators need not enjoy the same freedoms as the rest of us.

You equate being a pedophile with someone being black, white, Asian, native American, etc. It's not the same. A person convicted of being a pedophile committed an act, crime punishable by law. You can't punish someone for their skin color.

I think people have the right to associate and deal with whoever they want to or not want to. But in that train of thought race, sexual, discrimination is illegal, so it it is hard to discriminate against one group if you exclude others. pedophiles is a hard issue, it's like wal-mart, no one wants it next door to them. something needs to be done with this group of people.

Pedophiles are felons and felons are stripped of their rights. Discrimination should be the least of their worries. It should be legal to shoot them on site.

Heck no!!!!! We need to stop those types of people!!!! I know my nephews and niece's are so tiny that soon they will be outside playing and that scares me!!! Even a rapist needs to be treated like a pedophile!!!!!!!
