When the divorce papers are signed by the court and final...you could get married the next second...but wait at least a minute for goodness sake!

If the divorce is final through the courts, then you are free to do whatever you want. Why remarry so soon, give yourself a breather so you won't have this situation again.

Take it from me, you can get married the next day. My husband's divorce from his first wife wasn't final until the day before our elaborately planned wedding (she kept trying to hold things up). If it hadn't come through in time we were going to have the whole shebang anyway and then marry quietly in a civil ceremony as soon as it was final. That was in Indiana, it could be different in other states of course.

You can get married the minute the judge declares the divorce final and the papers are filed.

I think after everything is final it would be in good taste to wait at least 3 months before getting married again. Hopping from one marriage to the next is tacky.

You need to check with your county's requirements. In some states you can get married immediately. In others they make you wait a year.

You need to check your state's laws. Each state is different. CA is the next day, KS is 30 days....look on line and find out. Here's a website that might help....http://marriage.about.com/cs/marriagelicenses/a/usmarlaws.htm
