Man...believe it or not I raised an iguana for 15 years and there is definitely a way to "potty train" it. Mine outgrew cages and aquariums so it eventually became a house pet. I put down newspapers in a corner of the closet and periodically misted the papers with water. It took him a little while to realize that he had a designated spot but when he walked across the cool paper he got the "urge". Eventually he just went to that spot whenever he had to go.

Like the above person said, iguanas will often go when placed in water, I know the one I had almost always did. Unfortunately, that's about all you can do to control his bowels, best is just to make sure he can't go on carpet or anything you wouldn't want poop on. There's really no way you can get him to poop in a specific place, though, I don't think.

Get in and show your iguana, that's not a baby that you have to potty train.

You can't, the most you could do is provide a large water bowl and place it under the log, they like to poo in their water. A daily soaking in the tub will also make him poo.

the only thing you can do that i know of is if you want him to go before taking him out of his cage to chill with you is put him in warm water...that can stimulate a bowel movement sometimes so he wont go on you or in the house, but they have no control over it.
