Deport all Muslims from the UK?
http://uk.answers.yahoo.com/question/index;_ylt=AtxFmcavVF3h2PcR48HMLp8SBgx.?qid=20060810062358AAKrJ7m&cp=2&tp=2#all-answers

England is the country of my birth , and my parents , and grandparents were born here too.
I am just as English as anybody and I hate terrorists just as much as you , if not more.

Why should somebody be blamed just because of their religion?
Would it be fair to say that all Catholics are terrorists because of the IRA?

Shouldn't we be sticking together at a time like this?
If you act like a barbarianand a bigot aren't you letting the terrorists win?

Would you consider legally coming to the U.S. and becoming a U.S. citizen?? At one time, all the people in the U.S. were British citizens until we sent the king's soldiers packing in 2 different wars. Now look at us!! We have laws protecting religious practices, except in public places like schools or court houses. There is a mosque only a few miles from my home, though I don't attend there. Those deported from the U.S. are only those who have committed crimes or have entered illegally.

Why should you have to leave? Have YOU committed a crime? I'm a white British, living in Bradford (about as multi-cultural as a city can get!) and don't see any reason why innocent people should be made to leave their birth country just because of their religion.

Extremists on the other hand - no matter what religion - should be dealt with by society as a whole - again no matter what religion. Pakistan doesn't want Islamic Extremists in their country just as much as we here in the UK don't. Extremists justify the killing of others through their misinterpretation of their own religion. When people on here, and throughout the country and world, are saying deporting people of a certain religion, or race will rectify the terrorist situation, they are saying it as a general declaration. Nobody knows how to rid this world of terrorism, and whilst religious extremists are about, walking among us, we never will harmonise the situation. You have to remember that over 90% of all wars mankind has ever seen have had religion as its roots and until people learn to be at one with their religion and respect other peoples views, whatever they may be, terrorists will win and this war will continue.

Where hi_patia states 'they don't have the power to do it' THEY actually do. Jurisdiction can be made for mass deportation at any time and without any deliberation. Granted the UN and many countries may oppose to it, but it can be don.

No you shouldn't be held in charge yet to close human beings up the government has to take some form of action and it rather is not hardship-free to make rules that don't consequence each and every Muslim by using fact of ways the midsection east leaders are handling the wars occurring Terrorists are utilising the Muslim community as a human safeguard and a few as soldgers and the government will not be able to administration who they might unmarried out by using fact of ways the conflict is being fought interior the midsection east human bombs, vehicle bombs, combating then withdrawing back into civilian territory to cover them selves for yet another day of conflict the U. S. is having a extra durable time finding out who the enemy is that outcomes how the medical care of Muslims would be thinking the USA has a faceless enemy. Im additionally sorry to hearken to that the U. S. is thinking of doing that however the protection of the U. S. citizens is there considerable concern sorry to assert.

Not that im defending the people who want you to leave, or that I think it's right.

The UK is a small country that's very crowded, the 'popular' idea is that people of other cultures have come over from their own country and we don't think there is room.

We do not know if a muslim is british, or foreign so they are all tarred with the same brush, we are also quite bored of all this political correctness and how our schools now teach a variety of cultures rather than christianity. The UK is our 'home' country and people want to defend it.

If lots of christians invaded India, the indians would want to defend it (Thats already happened).

I don't think anyone is blaming you, or assuming you are a terrorist, our culture is getting more and more diluted and we don't like it.

Religeon, the cause of wars & a system of control, want to convert to athiesim?.

You do have a point, we should all stick together, religeon just divides us

Being Irish I would have to agree with you in that a person’s religion should have no bearing on their political views.
But, just to point out, the IRA was created due to an occupation by a foreign force (English) in the land of the Irish, so it wouldn’t be right to say all Catholics are Irish nor all Irish are Catholics.

But yes, people can follow which ever religion they choose and so can choose which ever culture they wish.

My initial answer was to pay no attention. But then thinking about it perhaps we should start paying attention because these people are dangerous and just playing into the hands of the terrorist who seem hellbent on stirring up racial and religious hatred.
So now my answer is stand proud and don't go anywhere.
My only wish is that the true followers of Islam would stand taller and prouder than the evil that has latched onto your religion.

I must add that as a committed atheist I follow no organised religion but I respect your right to worship your God.

Very well done for you and applaud yourself for finally standing up to these bigots on here and been counted, you do not have to or should go anywhere but to stay in this country you were born in just like your parents and grandparents were too, you are British and do not have to put up with the ignorance of those who think it right to slander Muslims not just for their religion but for whatever reason, how hurtful it must be for you to have to listen to such bigotry on days like today, please don't let the bigots get you down, stand up and be counted, you have earned your right to be, good luck.

I think that anyone who thinks that religion is the most important thing in life is a sorry story. There are many things in life far more important than religion. Spirituality and religion are very different. If you are a devout follower of a religion, it is usually because you haven't yet developed the facility of thinking for yourself. That is why you need a book, and some guy telling you how to run your life.

If you are having trouble with other people's opinion of your religion, then don't flout it.
Nobody knows what religion I am, and if you were the same way, then you woudn't have a problem.

We can't change what other people think. We can only change ourselves

Don't worry about it, they don't have the power to do it. Do you think that those of Irish descent didn't get stick here from the simple minded when the IRA was active? Some in the US couldn't even swallow French fries because the French didn't support the war in Iraq. There is no limit to how ridiculous some people can be.
