Don't you people know the difference between Islamic and Islamist?

Question

I asked wwhy Islamists don't get jobs and do something positive. Some had never heard this word and others criticized me for being racist, showing their ignorance over words. Islamic describes a Muslim, Islamist is a terrorist. For those who called me retarded, you showed what complete fools you are.Educate yourself before you speak - you wouldn't look so stupid.

Hey... easy there, sport... I almost passed by this posting because I caught the anger in your words. After reading your posting, I just wanted to say "Thank You" for clarifying something I had never really thought about.

Unfortunately, it won't change anything... the talking heads on the News Networks don't even know how to pronounce the names of the towns being destroyed or the names of the terrorist groups... having them know the difference between Islamic and Islamist may be a step too far for the propaganda crowd.

BUT... At least I thank you... I have learned something today.

Islamist is a theory held by a Muslim. DO NOT EVER use the word retarded...talk about ignorant!! Ever hear of the IRA? The Viet Cong? A terrorist is a terrorist. Period. Who's stupid? Not me...

How is "Islamist" a terrorist? What is the corresponding word for Christian? Are you trying to be cute here?

Simple internet search shows that the use of the word "Islamist" does not imply "terrorist", and it´s use is subject to debate within the Islam community. I think you were trying to be cute, and have only yourself to blaime for the replies - ones I suspect you were looking for, really.
