Ok. If you own the beach, do you own the water as well. Or is it God's water. What happens if someone gets attacked by a shark while swimming in the water at your beach, can they sue you? Or do they have to take that up with God?

Water is not up for ownership, water rights are determined by the state and federal government. You can own the land, and some water rights to supply necessary water for your survival and agriculture, the rest belongs to the land and government agencies like a "water district" or "water authority".

If you are attacked it is called an Act of God, like hitting a deer or having a rare cataclysmic event happening...tsunamis, tornadoes, volcanoes...

If you want to check and see if God's insurance policy covers sharks...but I really don't see you getting an answer.

i used to know people who owned beachfront property and a certain amount of feet out into the water was also theirs.
that's a good question about the shark in their water, cause technically you are on their property;but they don't own the shark,so it's not like you got bit by their dog.

In most states you do not even own the beach, everything from the high water mark down is public property.

Good question. it really makes you think. How can you own water? It never stays in spot so you cant keep track of it. I would have to say no to that.
