you asked the same question yesterday... are you an alien in disguise?

The orbit of the earth around the sun would change a bit. Now, you could consider the movement of earth and moon through the reduced mass center of both around the sun. Take away the moon to an infinite distance and the orbit will change. The same thing happens when a comet hits the earth, then the plane of orbit changes.

Big Brother fan me thinks!!!! If there was no moon it would start a chain of events that would result in the end of life on Earth (according to BIg Brother) although I can find no evidence of this. Tides would certainly stop, we would have more chance of being hit by asteroids and space junk, less light at night.

So ultimately I would hope that the aliens were caught quickly and brought to justice and the moon returned to its rightful home.

People in mental institutions wouldnt act up so much on one day of the month, because there wouldnt be a full moon, the tides would get all buggered up, as the moon causes tidal effects...lots of stuff would happen if the moon just got knocked out of its orbit around Earth.

first of all its bye-bye to the tides .second it would cause problems in earths rotational axis causing problems in climate.third & a remote possibility is that a meteorite which could have banged against the moon might end up on the earth and if it would be big enough then u would have splendid fireworks on earth but u might not be there to watch it

Hi, there would be terrible floods all over the world, have you watched Bruce Almighty, he pulls the moon closer, and then on the news the next day, it says there has been suvior floods done to strange lunar activity, because he moved the moon.

We would have a bad time for a few hours, the tides would go and the world would probably stop spinning, icebergs would float and slop about a bit, and then we would all cease to exsist.

The end!

I'd go down to the lost and found department and see if someone had turned it in, maybe down at the local police station also.

Might even put out a few "LOST- MOON- REWARD IF FOUND" posters with my home phone on it

We would most likely die. The climate is based on the moon and sun, as are the waves. With no moon, we would probably have tons of tsunamis.

All of the Earths Warewolves will get bored and go and hunt down said aliens to reclaim our moon....I would also recommend stealing one of their planets / stars to teach them a lesson.
