Maybe the answer is simply, sex. But I have never experienced this before. I am very red and somewhat swollen the day after I had sex. It even looks like I might have tiny little abrasions inside. Im not sure though b/c its so red. Its also concentrated on one side. I find this so weird also b/c we had to stop b/c I was in pain during intercourse. The pain did not come from the area that is red and swollen though. It came from inside and only on the right(my right). What is this?

Sounds like friction burns. Use some KY and you should be fine.

Sounds like abrasive irritation, lack of lubrication is the first thing that comes to my mind. A cool sitz bath might ease some of the discomfort. Would avoid intercourse until all the swelling is gone, and if it hasn't resolved in 48 hours, would follow up with your doctor.

You may have got an abrasion during sex..or if you used a spermicide or lubrication you may have had a allergic reaction to it. If it dose not get better in a day or two call a nurse or your doctors office for a check up.
