There's so many things, but I guess I'd have to say that the summer I spent living with a tribal people in Thailand (the Pwo Karen) was the most interesting. I lived with them for two months. I couldn't speak the language, but learned a little, and got along the way people do who want to, even if they don't speak. I learned to mend fence, take out a huge tree stump all by myself, make friends with Pwo Karen, hunt for bamboo shoots, make fires with pitch pine, even made a fire pit. I helped with medical problems of the people, and acquired a Pwo Karen name.

I also got to spend a weekend with the Blue Mao people and the last two weeks with the Cambodian peoples who had walked across the killing fields to escape Pol Pot. This was in 1975.

I spent a day with two men, a Catholic priest and a Methodist minister, who had just been released from captivity by the Viet Cong and just listened as they talked--a kind of impromptu debriefing I suppose (I didn't know the word then).

Yes, that was definitely the most interesting experience of my life.

I was about 13 years old and at home alone. There was a storm outside and then I heard a loud crash. I looked out the door to see what was going on and saw my neighbors running towards the house. They were questioning if I was alright and I said yes why. They told me lightening had struck the tree next to the house and the branch that was touching the house transferred the lightening to the house. I looked up and saw that the crash I had heard was the porch light exploding. I would say that was a very interesting event in my life.

Well, a lot of things but I can't really recall all that many at the moment, the first thing that I do recall is being attacked by a bat once...

and then he bit me, and now when the moon is full, I sometimes have this weird urge to eat bugs and fly around at night.

I sat on a knife while eating corn nuts. It was sticking out of the crack in our recliner. It felt like a pen grazing my thigh. But then I reached back there and pulled it out. YIKES! I rushed to the hospital and got 4 stitches. I was almost paralyzed from the butt down (had it gone in any deeper)!

But I love to tell the story. :D Thanks for the opportunity!

A tornado hit a tree behind my apartment, and the tree fell through the place where I had been standing the moment before.
