Why don't Islamists get a job and do something positive?

They only seek to destroy what others have created and no one ever discusses this. How come they don't work full-time in careers, doing something useful for the world instead of always being a force of evil and negativism and destruction?

You have no understanding of the world, please learn that only a minute portion of followers of Islam are terrorist, and not all arabs are Islamic. In Islam there are strict rules regarding war, they cannot start the war, they cannot destroy civilian buidling or cut down trees, they cannot harm a women or child nor older man. So if you use some critical thinking here those who are terrorists are not true Islamists either. Many followers of Islam are in very good jobs, doctors , politicians, lawyers, etc etc. There are plenty of white people who have been drawn to Islam and follow it as well.

Please don't ask such naive inflammatory questions you are the kind of person that creates such a stupid uninformed image of the U.S., and push our ways on other cultures which is why we have terrorism in the first place because many people in our country don't have a world view

An Islamist is a follower of Islam as is a Muslim they mean one in the same thing.

Their religion does not dictate in any way the destruction of anything it is a relatively passive religion. Get a grip think for yourself and look outside of all the propaganda.

No economy ? What exactly do you consider the Oil trade? They make collectively hundreds of billions of dollar in PROFIT each quarter that seems like a thriving economy to me. The reason places like Iraq and Palestine don't have such economies is the fact that Iraq had sanctions levied against them by US. Palestine is constantly being more and more constricted by Israel.

Also who CAUSED much of the turmoil in the middle east thats right the Westerners. We supplied various countries with weapons and training during the Cold War. We put sanctions on countries. We allowed the setting up of Israel, and supplied it with top notch weaponry. We turn the other way when Israel oppresses Palestinians. If anyone is destructive it is us they are now trying to get us out of their countries and remove Israel. If I recall we once did something similar, Ah yes the American revolution were people we now call hereos were considered terrorists by the British.

There are some that do have careers, but for those of you that say it is only a select few that are extremists are wrong. If it were only a few, it wouldnt be a problem. But everyday you have some muslim nut killing themselves to kill other innocent people. They are plotting destruction. How many groups outside muslims, are trying to plan to blow up air planes to kill thousands of men, women, and children? How many people other than muslims have a goal in life to suicide bomb people, even thier own muslim people? It is not always wrong to stereo type. When it comes to the security of our nation, who do YOU think should be searched before getting on a plane more thoroughly, some white old lady or a muslim? And let me be clear, i know not all muslims are extreme terrorists, but if anyone would be it would be a muslim. And lastly, the muslims that want to do good in the world and want to be set apart from this, need to stand up more and not just condemn these things but try and do something about. Muslims can get close to muslims so they could go and infiltrate these extremists groups and help stop the violence. They can snoop out the evil ones that do hide. But sadly the ones who can help stop it the most, dont.

Look at where they live. There is no economy and they live in the sand. Do you know what is going to be there in a hundred years? Sand! It is called the desert, folks, and unless they develop a culture that is friendly toward the development of an infrastructure to support an economy, they are never going to have jobs or opportunities. Instead, they choose to live a sixth century warlord lifestyle.

Even those Islamists who go to other countries still tend to live this way. Someone recently asked me if I was concerned about Islamists coming to the U.S. and taking high-tech and other jobs while plotting to destroy our country. My answer is no, those people are here because they want economic opportunity. With very, very few exceptions, they are not Islamists. The people about whom I worry are the "students" who come to this country and then never show up for class. I applaud immigrants who want to come here (legally) and work. God bless them. I fear those young men from Islamic countries who disappear from the map as soon as they land on our shores. Is this profiling? You bet, it is an example of good law enforcement: narrowing your list of suspects down to those who may have actually committed the crime. The same thing applies to catching terrorists. I am rambling now, so I will be done.

It is wrong to put all Islamists in the same category and the majority of them do work, raise their families, educate themselves and love just as we do.

If we blame all of them we are contributing to the problem. It is terrorists and many of them have been born and raised in the U.S. and England.

What is happening is tragic but we muddy the waters by not thinking rationally.

It is terrorists, period. Take a look at all those so very critical of everything our gov't does to protect us and yet the ultra liberals buck us at every turn. They are more concerned about 'human rights' & 'civil rights' than they are with the rights of all of us to live in safety and security. A lot of them are vicious & bitter but a lot are also working with the terrorists.

That statement is also racist, it is like saying all blacks are poor swimmers or all Asians are poor drivers or all Italians have a bad temper. Do u think all the follower of Islam are sitting lazy like u and doing nothing, the problem is that some christian fundamentals afraid from the efficient and brilliant new generation of ISLAM. I'm Muslim and for 10 yrs I've worked hard, been a loyal citizen (paying taxes, never been arrested) and have never destroyed anything or anyone. I'm a very positive person and have many friends.
