I do not know why you need an adjuster but, if it is for fire or property you need to hire your own adjuster. The one from state farm works for state farm, yours will work to keep you from getting screwed by the insurance co. Had a fire once, the difference from what they wanted to pay and what I got was $80,000. Hire your own adjuster.

You could call State Farm in your area. For good reasons they may help you.
They may have an 800 number.
