It's cos you've been living a long time and maybe you haven't much more living left and that's an expensive situation for an insurance company, innit. It's even worse if you've had, as very probable at that age, a serious illness or a perhaps a heart bypass op. Most Insurance firms will probably rip you off anyway, because they know you're more likely to have the funds (savings) available at that age and are easy pickings when vulnerable needing insurance for foreign travel etc.

You could try Saga, they do insurance for oldies, and will quote.

I agree and that i disagree. i don't believe of Obama can help. He hasn't carried out something sensible for anybody. He has wasted our tax money on vehicle organizations. that is postpone their deaths. besides the shown actuality that he worked in Illinois, he hasn't carried out a lot. a number of the $80 billion (i believe) from taxes replaced into used to construct a bridge. In a no call city. Why? "undesirable recognition from this." Who cares? If we've ordinary wellbeing insurance, what no matter if that's not adequate? all and distinctive has distinct residing circumstances. So, if all of us have an similar style of insurance, some human beings would ought to pay more effective. and some a lot less. yet when we do have ordinary wellbeing care, it would not be a huge hardship for the wellbeing insurance organizations and us. yet what if some human beings imagine the way I do? this can be an particularly debatable situation. merely keep in mind that the grass is continuously greener on the different area. we are able to under no circumstances recognize till we attempt.

I was not aware that it was difficult for a 75 plus to get travel insurance.. I never get travel insurance. I use a visa Master card and it automatically insures at one million $

I suppose they are afraid that anyone 75 plus will die of heart problems on the plane, etc.

Try Saga insurance or "Help the Aged".

My Gran was still travelling until just a copule of years back but at 96 is considered too great a risk now. She was not happy to be told she was too old!

She has her own place (not warden controlled) maintains she doesn't need a home help (they are for old people) and does her own housework, shopping etc. Has stopped doing her very large garden though!!!!

Because as far as Insurance companies concerned, someone of that age shouldnt be travelling, they should be at home watching day time tv, knitting, in the garden or playing dominoes. Just cos someones a certain age it shouldnt mean they should be confined to certain things.
