It happens all the time - they get a hard-on when they have to urinate, so it's completely normal.

It is just one of the weird quirks of being a guy. That doesn't necessarily happen every day, but it happens a lot with no sex dream or sexual thoughts necessary. You should accept that it is natural. If you are going to be all jealous of his natural bodily functions, you are in for a lifetime of upset and disappointment.

Maybe he was thinking of you. You do get a rise from him now and then, eh? Trust me, he wasn't in a nightmare, so if he was thinking good things in his dreams, wouldn't you hope you were part of that picture? Take advantage of it, he has risen to the occassion so enjoy the moment (it will also help insure that you stay in the picture when his thoughts go that way).

Most of your respondents are right... it is just a normal thing with men. Its completely harmless, innocent, and uncontrollable. Its not worth worrying about because there is nothing threatening that causes it. Its simply a subconscious quirk.

It's not from having to pee, or dirty dreams or thoughts.
Men get erections in the morning because their hormones are most active in the morning. They have a daily hormone cycle which peaks in the a.m. It's physiology. We can't help it, and why should we. The question is, do you take advantage of it?

This show on oxygen called "Talk Sex With Sue" said that it is not sexual at all it just means the guy has to use the restroom.

all men wake up like that. did you know that men have a ***** more than half of the night while they are sleeping. it doesnt mean that they are turned on or anything, just a natural thing that happens to men
