Depending on how much you're willing to spend on doctor visits or Rx, you can access numerous drugs for pain. Such as Tylenol 3, Codeine, and Percocet (spell?) I take Percocet for my intense cramps. Talk about a limbo world...

If you're not willing to spend time and money, Ibuprofen generic is fine, or Advil.

Well, it depends on the severity of the pain. Opiates cure most of the pain. Codiene is a light opiate, oxycodone is a strong opiate, and herion is probrably one of the strongest. (Also probably the most additictive). I had my ear peirced and took some T-3's and your whole body just kinda goes numb, and you completely forget about the pain. There is some crazy stuff that docters only use in the highest of circumstances...and you can't even get a prescription for that. I dont know what its called but it will probably ease almost any pain. However if you dont have a prescription (or a source) then you basically just have to stick to Tylenols and asperin.

Not really. You can hypnotize yourself into not feeling pain, however.
