If you watch a program that lampoons your political beliefs (such as the Daily Show or Colbert Report for conservatives, or South Park or talk radio for liberals), do you ever laugh if the parody has some truth to it? Do you ever watch shows that make fun of some of the beliefs you hold, purely for entertainment?

Happens to me all the time. I love South Park...and it lampoons everyones beliefs. I think we should all try to have a sense of humor about that kind of stuff...it makes living more fun.

I try to have a sense of humor about my political beliefs. When I see a parody of Pres. Bush on Leno I’ll laugh if they did a good job. When someone says Ann Coulter needs a sandwich or two, I’ll chuckle.
The humor has to be good, though, not just mean.
Saying Bill Clinton is a lard-*** isn’t all that funny. But when Leno or Letterman say “we wish he was still prez so we’d have more material” then that’s funny.

Yea i am a very strong conservative and I LOVE colbert report watch it all the time, i can take a joke, my dad is a strong liberel, UGH but i can take a joke if its made, and south park makes fun of everything not just lib's lol

Yes, and I only wish that more people had a sense of humor about their political beliefs, or even realize that there are others who believe different things!

I used to have the sense of humor about my political beliefs, but now that everybody is so polar and nasty, I've lost it. Some of this is the result of the name calling, the lies, and the misrepresentations that are so common in current political discourse. The real offenders are the right wing Republicans, the close minded devotees of people like Rush Limbaugh, the bushbots, the extreme evangelical/political activists.

I see nothing humorous about watching people die or have their limbs and private parts blown off with mines! Those who make money doing parodies never have!
I do think it is funny when they slam Republicans though! They never fought either!

Absolutely. I never want to get to the point that I take myself too seriously. The world is a terrible place right now, humor is a necessity.

Being that I have no real favor toward either political stance (liberal or conservative), yes I do laugh about it when they make fun of either one of them.

I'm republican, the party put a clown in the oval office, of course I've got a sense of humor!!!
