on some 2000 model focus's there has been a problem with water getting into the blower motor housing and shorting out the blower motor, or the blower motor resistor. I haven't had one that made the lights dim yet, but it's not out of the realm of possibility.
I'd take it to a professional A/C shop and have it looked at.

Dont turn the AC on!! I dont know what is wrong with the AC but the 3 squirrels in your Focus are not big enough to turn the compressor.

Sounds like you alternator is not putting out enough charge to run everything. It's a sign that it is going bad. Have it checked out.

go to the closest ice cold air service center near you they will give you a free estimate on the problem they are a nice and courtiuos company

you have a dead short,, in the circuit controlling the air conditoner,,,dont turn it on again until its repaired
