I am just wondering if anyone out there thinks it is as full of baloney as I do!!
I have never in my life heard of any one getting DENIED an annulment.
So, please tell me if you agree with me. If you dont agree with me..tell that too!
I think the catholic church should just allow divorce and remarriage. Everyone gets their annulment anyway!

My husband got a annulment on our marriage after 24 years and 5 kids!
It broke my heart. The tribunal office was very cold to me when I told them I was against the annulment. They told me everyone should go thru with it so people can move on with their lives.
But my life WAS my husband and family. Now there is nothing but hate, hurt, and problems. Two of my kids dont even speak to my husband any more.
My husband only wanted the annulment because the 22 year old he dumped me for wanted a big "catholic" wedding.
They dont even attend church anymore. He got what he wanted..a second marriage "blessed" in the catholic church.

The Catholic Church believes that God does not recognize civil divorces.

"Therefore what God has joined together, no human being must separate." (Mark 10:9)

The term "annulment" is a misnomer because the Church does not undo or erase a marriage bond.

Rather the Church issues a declaration of nullity when it discovers that the parties were not truly joined by God and hence a full spiritual sacramental marriage as understood by the Church was not present.

Then the parties are free to marry for the first time.

With love in Christ.

--Is Catholic--

People get denied annulments all the time. This is especially true if the diocese is obedient to Rome.

People who get denied annulments tend not to want to talk about it, because usually one of the parties remarries anyway. The faithful party is left to remain without his/her spouse. Or if both parties are faithful to the Church, they have to make hard decisions, separation and living of a single life, or trying to work something out.

Catholic marriage is not the same as marriage between non-Christians. It is a different and higher reality due to its sacramental nature. It is a part of the Catholic calling and life. Catholics are supposed to be different from other peoples as they strive to follow the teachings of the God. You don't have to be Catholic so why should Catholics have to be like you?

Sure I could give you all the reasons why Catholic marriage is what it is, but it still comes down to why should other's dictate what Catholic believe in as a part of their religious faith?
