I love my music BIGTIME! But people dont understand why i am not bothered in seeing my favourite bands LIVE? Iv'e been to many concerts over the years, but to be honest i much prefer to buy the dvd! Better sound, you can see the group better, skip through the songs you dont like!! AC/DC Are about the only band i really would take time out to see, because i would like to feel that sound!

My god! That is so me
I actually get really bored at concerts. I went to see Dashboard Confessional a few years ago and the whole concert was just a sing-a-long. I didnt even hear the bloody guys voice because a few hundred people decided they wanted to sing the entire discography. It was a waste of a tenner.

There are only a few artists that I have to see live, Incubus, Kings of Leon, Tegan and Sara and John Mayer because I totally agree, You want to feel the music.
I think you really have to love them to see them live as well otherwise its just a chore. Its more about hearing them sing their songs live then seeing them do it so the live DVD and the CD are just a good!

I know what you mean. I mean, I do like going to concerts, but I'm always disappointed with the acoustics. I mean, they turn up the volume and bass in the PA system so the sound carries, but then all you hear is fuzz and mud. What's the point of going, besides actually seeing them? They might as well just host a large dinner party with the band.

The best setup was for Trans-Siberian Orchestra. The volume was a bit low, but I could actually HEAR them!

I do understand what you say, sometimes going to a concert can be a little overbearing. However, you should feel so lucky you have the chance to actually see your favourite bands live, because where I live, they don't even bother to come. So, enjoy it as much as you can.

I have to disagree. Seeing a band live is an experience all its own. There is a large group of people all on the same wave length, singing together, arms in the air. Good stuff!

You need to get out sometimes and enjoy yourself more instead of watching dvds it better to feel the atmosphere than see it on a dvd. And your with others that feel the same

I feel pretty much the same.

However, has it ever occured to you that of course the band will sound different live, because on a CD there voices can be touched up electronically to sound there best?

A concert is for the experience and the DVD is for the sound.

I think concerts are great if you want to be able to scream and clown around with friends. But if you actually want to enjoy the music, stay home and TURN IT UP DUDE!

AC/DC rock. I love seeing my favorite bands live. I guess its because I love all of their songs so I wouldn't really want to skip any songs.
