Why do you think people have got such bad manners and lack of RESPECT for others?

I agree with PookyPoo. They Havent exepted Christ and they are very bitter, and they dont care. Jesus Cares and Jesus is inside of me and the other christians, and that what we need 2 do as christians. Shine like Jesus did and show his love 2 the people.

If you mean lack of manners on these sort of web sites: Some people just have a bad day and don't catch themselves in time before they push that "submit" button. (They don't realize that even though they are anoymous other posters still "know" them by their online identity and consider them a person, perhaps even a friend.) Some people just have a sarcastic manner about them that might be funny in realtime but is very rude online. Others misuse the gift of the internet and hurt people instead of helping them. And still others act in such a manner because they are off their medication but have a computer available to them. I've found that most seem like nice gals and guys though and tend to give you an honest answer to most questions.

Because they were never taught the real meaning of respect. Or taight manners as children.
I believe in some aspects that respect should be earned, as in when you start a new job, or make a new friend. But when I was young, I was taught to respect your elders, no matter whether you agree with what they say or not. They have lived longer and have gone through more and for that alone deserve it. And manners, I think parents these days dont take the time to teach them. My children will always say thankyou and please, they will be polite and I will teach my grandchild the same.

People are like delayed mirrors. They return back what they receive with slight modifications based on their past experience, their intrinsic qualities (dictated largely by their genes) and their condition at the time a disrespect takes place.

People who are under stress due to any of many reasons may react in disrespect. Examples can range from weakness due to impending, past or present sickness, physical stress, a bad experience at home or office due to a negative interaction with others. Some people get angry when hungry, while some get angry when they are constipated. The statement "you are full of 'it' does has some bearing in reality..lol.

PMS can be another factor, that in my observation not only affects females but also males.

People who are ill tempered by nature in my view are far and few. But, any of us can get into a bad "mood" due to the stresses of living.

Utlimately a patient, understanding smile or sympathy can relieve the situation.

Finally, people are a product of how they are raised, and learn their behavior patterns at home. This is what I alluded at the beginning of this answer.

Two reasons: lack of self-respect and a self-centered attitude. Anyone who has respect for themselves does not act so poorly. Also, seems most people have bought into the theory that it is not wise to consider others and to look out for your own hide. Thus, there can be no regard for the other's standpoint if you were to maintain your footing in the big bad world.

I completely agree. human beings in college ask why I say thanks soo a lot, like at the same time as a instructor fingers me back a graded paper, or lends me some thing like a pencil, I say thanks. i can't stand at the same time as human beings do not say thanks. children in my college will actually order around the instructors, operating example, we were planning a fundraiser for the Yearbook club, and someone stated "Mr.----, can't you purchase each and every of the resources?" i tried no longer to slap them. i'm continually very respectful in the route of all of us, and a tremendous variety of the time I purely desire that rubs off on them, so as that they offer up being so rude and study some manners.

I feel its because nobody stops to appreciate the little things any more so busy trying to make money, Greed!!! people have come to feel that if they have lots of money it makes them better more powerful.. Kids want to be grown ups,,, Grown up want to have everything and old people want to mumble and complain and be kids again so no-one is happy no-one respects anyone else.
