its definitely a good possibility and i would love it since both teams rank one and two as my favorites....i hope the yanks take it though but would not be too sad if the mets prevail

I've been rooting for it ever since the Mets began to pull away in April. The Subway Series is as big in New York as is the World Cup throughout Europe. The excitement, the rivalry, the pride. Yankees vs. Mets, 2006!

It would be great... especially since the Yanks have a pretty good track record against the Mets in World Series Play. It would give us another chance to sweep, rather than 2000 when we actually lost a game to them. It's entirely possible too, the Mets have had ZERO competition in the NL this year, and the Yanks are stronger than ever and only getting healthier in the next month when we should be getting Sheffield, Matsui, Dotel, and Pavano back. Assuming Carl" the $40 million Baby" Pavano doesn't find some other injury before then, so he can coast in Tampa and have his World Series ring mailed to him.

Nothing would make me happier than a Subway Series. Most exciting event possible. Yank/ Boston games are miserable for all teams involved, it's impossible to enjoy them...but Yank/ Mets games are sheer excitement.

In theory, yes. I would love to see that.
But, the reality is that my prediction for the fall classic is this:
New York Mets v. Detroit Tigers.
Mets take it in 6.
Another nice thought is the Red Sox. Twenty years later history repeats itself. . .

mets have the 2nd best record in the major league. for sure that the mets will kill the yankees in the world series.

yea but the yankees will win it again because the mets will choke if they do make but they will probably lose it in the nlcs
