Do they work year round, what is the average daily routine for an NFL head coach during the season and offseason?

During the season, they barely sleep, they usually get to the stadium at about 3 or 4 am and are there until midnight. In the offseason, they work normal business hours. Not a job I would want, even for the highest paid coaches.

they work an average of 10 months out of the year. Usually they work about 10-12 hours per day drawing up game plans and preparing for days practice. During the offseason they spend most of their times drawing up new plays, scoutiing players, etc.
Its not a tough job but can be very stressful so I have heard on NFL films

Yes, they work year-round, and during the season, they're probably at it 90-100 hours a week at minimum, either on the practice field, in the film room, or in the classroom with the players and the playbook.

And your job hangs on how well 53 guys chase down an oblong ball...

I suppose it would depend on how much job security you need! You're right, it looks pretty easy, but I'm sure there is a lot more pressure than what we see on tv.

It's very demanding on you and your family in every way, physically, emotionally, and psychologically.
