So many things to try and explain. I suggest you call Bt and get them 2 give u a step by step guide.

However a few things; initially set the internet up on 1 computer, connect the modem to the pc via the Ethernet cable regardless if its wireless modem or not. Install the CD which should configure the Modem. Once The modem is connected you will notice the ADSL light on your modem should stay a static colour and not flash, this signifies a connection. Once the internet is on this computer the wireless recievers on the other computers should pick up the signal. you can then remove the ethernet cable.

Also check in your internet settings in control pannel that your connection ' automatically detects settings'

Sorry this was brief hope it helps, gd luck

The BT hub is a DHCP server. This means that it will assigen IP addresses automatically to each computer. Make sure that the Network settings are set to "Automatically assign IP addresses.

Can I guess that the laptop is not connecting and it has Windows 2000 on it?

The other thing is to make sure that in the network settings share my folders and printers is selected.

11/08/06 Ok make sure all the computers are on the same workgroup. Right hand click "My Computer", "Properties" then "Computer Name" go to "Change" and it will let you change the workgroup name.

Use "ping" at the DOS window to check if one machine can talk to others. If not, then you likely don't have the TCP/IP settings set up correctly on each maching. "ipconfig" at the DOS prompt will tell you what you have now...post that info for all three machines here if you still have trouble.
