It depends on how much you weigh, and how much you'd like to lose. The best way to lose weight isn't by restraining a nutrient or to. It is true that different diets have worked, such as cutting back on carbs, but do you know the concequences of this diet? Well, people who've gone on a low carb diets (usually less than 20 g of sugar a day) have experience some temper irritation, they get mad and frustrated extremely easily and anything is irritating to them. Why? you'd ask. Well because your brain needs glucose (a simple form of hexose-sugar) to function properly, if it lacks the import of glucose it will not perfect its job and therefore act abnormally. A high protein diet will do the same because it limits the intake of carbs. Low fat on the other hand is slightly better because fats (lipids) provide 9 calories per gram (versus 4 cal for protiens and carbs as well) so by eating less fat you're limiting your calories intake, which means stabilizing your weight if not losing it. But you do have to understand though that there are many benifits to fats, there are 2 types: saturated fats which means that have all the carbone bonds taken, and the unsaturated fats which have 1 or more carbone bonds freed. The better ones are the unsaturated (mono or polyunsaturated) because they help you lower the bad cholesterol (LDL) and higher the good cholesterol (HDL). You can find the unsaturated fatty acids in olive oil, nuts, and fatty fish (mackerel, salmon, tuna, etc). So to sum up, it's better to give a steady equilibrium to your diet including proteins, sugars and some fat, try to include as much fiber as you can as well. Now I'm not sure about the burning fat, but tuna is the perfect food. It is loaded with protein and it makes you feel full for a long time. I eat the flavored tuna and/or the tuna filets with some brown rice. When I want to lose weight fast, I will eat only tuna and rice for a week and drink lots of water, and the weight will come off.

Green Tea, Citrus fruits, Cantaloupe, up your proteins and lower your starches, more green-leafy vegetables. Don't forget to take your vitamins when you alter your diet.
You should consult your physician to make sure whatever you do is healthy and sound in comparison with your current physical health. Be careful about starting a "yo-yo" trend with your weight. Eating right and being physically fit should be a lifestyle, not a thing for the moment.
You may also want to consult a nutritionist.
