Most do it before - and some will do it after as well.
It makes more sense to do it before, because it can be uncomfortable to be packing your fudge - especially if you got a lot in the oven.
Also, sometimes having all that stuffin can have a negative effect on a condom, it might snag on something that "was" particularly fiberous and the condom could tear or all that friction might cause the condom to burst into flames (use a lotta lube).
Doing it after removes any surplus lubricant as well as anything that might otherwise be lodged in the plumbing to fester and get over ripe.

Before is best.
And for us - we might be using a douche product, but what we are really doing is getting an enema.
I want my tops to enjoy the experience - not see some brown stuff.
In addition - if someone likes being rimmed - doucheing/getting an enema should be prerequisite! I'd die of embarrassment if someone found some in me - or disgust if I found it in someone during a rimming.
