A Prayer for Owen Meany by John Irving. Forget the movie version, it's terrible. The book was amazing. I wish I could read it again without ever having read it the first time so I could experience the awe again. Hope you get a chance to read it!

Flowers for Algernon. The story follows Charlie, a mentally retarded 33 year old man who undergoes brain surgery to make him a genious. It is told first person through "progress reports" or journal entries which show his changing in a very personal way.

the bible about God and people with lots of faith in diffcult circumstances and then about Jesus and His coming and being born of a virgin. Then Jesus's teachings and parables and it also talks about thefuture that was spoken by God to His Prophets and it talks about us having the Holy Sprit and that He is our comforter and that we can do same things and greater than Jesus did while He was on earth. The Bible is for teaching, correcting, and rebukeing
