Depending on your skill level you should go for 'Ruin' by Lamb of God.... It's track 1 on their album As the Palaces Burn. The tuning is standard drop D, no sharps or flats. This song got my right hand REALLY improved and now I can play a bunch of songs from their catalog and my playing has improved dramatically. Try to go for a song that is a touch out your current skill range so that when you learn it you will be taking the next step. Have fun. Cheers!

If you play acoustic then Theory Of A Deadman- Since You've Been Gone is an awesome song. And California Dreamin' - The Mama's and the Papa's is an excellent guitar song.

I'd say smoke on the water but someone else already did. I'd say "Born To Be Wild" by Steppenwolf
