Media basically says the lighter your skin is the whiter you are the more beautiful you are .. me myself not being from an european descent are fining that to be true... i mean im from an african american descent and prefer "white males" over black males because of the schooles i went to in the past... is that normal??
And is it possible for someone who isnt "white" to be as beautiful as the media portrays whiet pople to be?

Sounds like you've been somewhat brain washed. I do not agree AT ALL that the media portrays lighter skin to be more attractive....HELLO, how come all us white people wanna be tan? I think that all races are beautiful. If you prefer white boys, that is ok......whatever floats your boat....its all personal preference.......but to me, everyone is beautiful, white, brown, black, yellow or red!

Personally, I don't think one group is more completely more attractive than another. There is beauty in all groups of people. There are phi standard proportions used to measure facial and other external features, and those can be applied to measure possible attractiveness objectively. I am an artist, and some feature combinations that I think are particularly beautiful are people that I've seen from the Caribbean, who have naturally tan colored skin, with light brown eyes when they wear clothing that is natural linen colored or white, and people who have blue or green eyes and red hair. Also, intelligence, wit and humor can really add to attractiveness, and lack of those attributes, can really make an otherwise attractive person very unattractive.

Oh yes, I feel you are right. BUT I disagree with your thinking that darker skin can not be equally or superior attractive. I feel that all races and colors have their elite set of genes that stand out from the rest. Remember flawless skin, shinny hair, and bright eyes know no color. Beauty is how one perceives it and unfortunately for you your view has been slightly shaded from your environment, It's not your fault and I think you should be very proud of yourself to question the perceptions thrusted upon you by society. Good for you to question such a socially uncomfortable subject!!!!

To tell you the truth I think mixed races are the cutest...they can have the best of many worlds....I'm white and my husband is black...that may be that why I think they are the cutest...It is ok to like another race.... Us white people are not all we act like we are...every race has there people that are beautiful and others not so...as long as you are happy with what you have then who cares what other people or media think....good luck...

That's not true at all. There are different kinds of beauty in each race. Not one particular race is prettier than others. Each race has its pretty people and not so pretty people. It all depends on each person because beauty is in the eye of the beholder. You can think someone is really pretty while another person can think differently.

I personally prefer white girls. I don't like tans. I like girls with very light skin (not albino white tho). I like Dark hair too. But, I think girls from any race can be just as beautiful. I think Latina girls are very Hot. I also think Tira Banks is Hot. I usually do not prefer Asain girls but I did have a Taiwanese girlfriend at one time and she did some modeling and was very pretty.

I think some of the most beautiful people I have ever seen are of mixed racial heritage. The media often distorts our view of what is "beautiful" or "perfect", and it's much better to view all that with skepticism and find our own standards of beauty.

Every single race has beautiful people, and each race has it's own defining features. There are things that can be found attractive on one race that people of another race can't be born with. You know what I mean?

I find myself attracted to 'teenage-white-boys' with brown hair, but I still love the light-skinned 'black boys' with waves, and the dark-skinned 'black boys' with braids. But I love the accent of an Italian man. It depends on who I'm in the mood for.

i think all races are beautiful, i can look at any race and think someone is beautiful. i think it just depends on the person and how they carry themselves. i would have to say one of the most beautiful people i have seen is naima from america's next top model--she is of a lot of racial descent. :-)
