Why does the U.S. get involved in everyone else's problems? Why don't we just let everyone else deal with..?

But shouldn't we focus on problems in our country before we do and try to save they world from all of their horrible problems?

Good question.

I say we pull out of every single country. Every troop out, everywhere. Line them up on our borders with orders to shoot to kill.

No more humanitarian aid to anyone, no more money leaves this country. No more going to earthquake regions in India/Pakistan and helping out a bunch of thankless *******. Let Israel sort out the A-Rabs themselves.

No more legal, illegal or any immigration of any kind.

Then slowly root out the illegals here already, and throw them bodiliy over the border north and south and let our neighbors deal with them, show them the nice little gun you'll use to shoot their *** should they try to get back in.

Then make all religions illegal. Don't like it, then piss off back to whence you came or stfu.

Problems solved in a few years. We'd have enough money to completely pay off our debt,house, feed, educate and provide healthcare for our own people. Wouldn't that be nice.

That's called ISOLATIONISM. It works OK for a small country, but not for a world power like the United States. People all around the world depend on us, even the ones that don't like us, like some of the unfortunate Muslims in Indonesia after the Tsunami. Because, for whatever reason, the US government feels it is their sole responsibility to save the world, spreading democracy and Christianity like manure on a field. Trouble is... who put them in charge???

The global economy has nothing to do with it, it is all about personal power and gain.. as is any political action. It isn't about the good of the country in Question (ie. Iraq, Afghanistan) OR about the "safety" of US citizenry.. it's about bullying and pushing your ideals and beliefs on others... wait a minute... isn't that what Georgie accused SADDAM of doing???
