I am not one to be a pessimist, but with everything going on in the world and the tremendous hatred targeted towards the US, do you think that the US has much chance of surviving the attacks on our patriotism, citizens and economy? Will America be untouched or will we be nuked the second our enemies gain access to an A-Bomb that can reach here (it is inevitable that they will)?

The US won't disappear anytime soon, but i see some major, negative changes probably headed our way. It would not take much to ruin us economically, which, to the world's surprise will also wreck their economies. We seem to be allowing the things that divide us be more important than the things that should unite us. We spend hours on things like this but don't take the time to meet our neighbors so we never learn to like or trust them. How can a society continue like that?

It is possible that someone will hit us with a nasty weapon in one or two cities but with the rise of all the post-Cold War fringe groups, I don't foresee an all out nuclear war. Not only that, but people like Ahmedinijad (sp?) in Iran don't care if they are destroyed because they will end up martyrs to allah.

All you see on the news is the mistakes of our President and the anger towards America. But do you think everyone hates America? No! The news doesn't report the nations that like America or the good things America has done for the world.

Will the US be around much longer? Hell yes! If you don't believe so, move to Iran.

Depends on whether we unite and defeat the fanatics that are dedicated to our distruction (the same people that want Isreals demise). Most of the media has chosen sides. Apparently they are consumed with guilt over Americas past "sins" and they refuse to identify our enemy and the war we are in. Personally I believe America will survive. I hope it won't take a nuke dropped on Chicago to do it. But unfortunately that may be what it takes.

I think it depends on how you define the United States and what part of it exists. I think Freedom is basic need of everyone on the planet. There will always be a struggle on both sides defining what Freedom really is. If we did get attacked by a nuclear weapon we would have no choice but to go ahead and send out thousands of bombs our self, so the deterent to use the weapon is still there.

America is too powerful of a country with just as many powerful allies to be destroyed. Plus too many developing countries rely on us for their economic benefit.
