today I went for my sonogram and they said the baby is 7 pounds 10 ounces. How accurate are those machines?

An ultrasound is accurate within 1 pound. So they say 7lbs 10oz--it could be 6lbs 10oz up to 8lbs 10 ozs. Good luck to you!

Those machines are pretty accurate considering that they go by the size and shape of your uterus and the size of the placenta and all the measurments of the baby.
