These older diesels are rather unpleasant cars to drive (slow, noisy, smelly) but some people like them.
There is a sort of "diesel craze" out there, but it's more for the Mercedes turbo-diesels of the 1980s and 90s, not these older crates.
However, if it's running well and is clean (I presume this is the "tailfin" model), I'd guess about $3,500 is all the money in the world for one. If it has some small dents and needs a few things, $1,500 to $2,500 is plenty.

If its running, don't sell it so quickly. The hip new trend in Hollywood is buying the Mercedes diesels and converting to biodiesel fuel. Don't restore the vehicle, just keep it stock and drivable. If you don't know enough about biodiesel at this point, hold onto the car for about 6 more months. You will see more interest as soon as a barrel of oil reaches $100, and we ain't that far away.

A mercedes deisel from the 1970's is considered low-mileage with 130,000,,,,,,,,Any car is worth $1,000 if it runs, and that Benz in good shape is worth up to $2,500. depending on the condition of the tires, brakes, and suspension.
