I would say no simply because when infants are this young their immune systems are very weak and they can catch anything that they are exposed to. I say that u should wait until the baby is 2 to 3 months before u start traveling, therefore the baby will be then had immunizations and you can feel at ease with bringing him or her whereever u want to travel.

It's not the baby that you should be concerned about. It is your body. I think that you should ask your doctor if it's okay to go on a trip like that right after having a baby since your body is the one that is healing not the baby's. In a general case the main reason for hospital stays is to ensure that the mother is okay before discharge. In a general case that is.

Why not? It would be easier for you maybe if they came to you - babies need routine (helps them sleep and eat better). You may not want to take such a young baby onto a plane - besides the pressure changes, all the people in the plane breathing / coughing / sneezing germs into the air can get the baby sick.

Babies are very portable at this age, especially if you are breastfeeding and the baby is nursing well.
It would no fun to try and pack up formula supplies--that would totally stink. (another good reason to never start any bottles--breastfeeding and traveling is SO easy-a bag of diapers, clothes, blankets and a front pack or sling is ALL you need!!)

how far away are you? if you are talking about driving an hour or so, go for it. if taking a plane, i'd wait for the baby is a little older. The air on the airplane is not the cleanest you know.

There shouldn't be a problem just be careful and if it is really far off then take rest stops on the way to check things out.

My parents flew to Mexico when my sister was one month and she developed some type of hear loss due to the plane. You should ask your doctor.
