There are several good ways to get rid of skunks. You can purchase a small statue of a fox. It is the natural enemy of the skunk. You place it in your yard and move it every month or two. You don't have to move it far, but make sure the position changes. Also spray your trash cans with ammonia. Skunks, opposums, raccoons, and other rodent's don't like it. Also bleach works, but not as well. You have to do this often to keep the smell of the chemical around. This really works since usually the skunks are there to get into trash. You might end up with a mole problem when you get rid of the skunks because skunks are the mole's enemy. So if you plant castor plants in your yard it will get rid of the moles.

My Mom was always saying, don't eat food in your bedrooms to us kids, your gonna get "verrrrrmin"....

Well guess who got "verrrrrrmin"

MOM!
She was sitting in her room, and noticed the cat came in, only it wasn't the cat, because the cat was already on the bed with her.

Then the dog started whining. (Thank God she already knew what skunks were) They were all able to sneak out of the room, they just had to shut the doors and let the skunk leave on it's own sweet time.

Basically don't leave food or trash around skunks like to eat. And if you get fox on your land, don't scare it off.

I have used this product successfully.
'Shake-Away' the strongest skunk repellant in nature.

It is a strong, granular skunk deterrent that contains the scent of the skunk’s most feared predator, the fox.
This powder uses the scent of the fox to take advantage of the skunk's inborn, instinctive fear of it's worse enemy, driving the pest from your property

I've heard that if you sprinkle moth-balls around the perimeter of your house/property, they'll stay out of your yard and stay away because they hate the smell.

I hear you though - I HATE skunks!

You know, you could have them descented and keep them as pets. Theyre just like cats, and all they do is sleep.
