the apostle paul used the phrase ( our savior and lord, jesus christ ). before jesus came to earth, the israelites used gods personal name ( jehovah ) ps. 83:18. jehovah is god the father and jesus is jehovah's son, our lord jesus christ. some bibles use capital letters to denote god and lower case letters to denote jesus when the word ( lord ) is used.

God and Jesus are different. Jesus is believed by a section of the people to be the Christ. The Christ means the Prophet. That is why call him Jesus the Christ. So Jesus was the Christ or the Prophet or the Son of God. He is not God. You can call him the Lord, just to revere him.

This is what I believe.
Jesus was the Son of God not God himself.
God is the King of Kings while Jesus serves Him making him the Lord.
So Lord Jesus and God Jesus is way different.

I prefer to say Lord Jesus, but I don't think there is any difference. Both show reverence to Christ.

"Lord" basically means master. The term is used to signify that Jesus is master and decision maker, and has complete authority over us.
