Where did they come from as a group of people? What do they represent? Is America giving them fair treatment? Are they right or wrong?

Please include in your answer: Your religious background, ethnicity, and origin if you are comfortable with that. Thanks!

The Hezbollah[1] (Arabic: حزب الله‎ ḥizbu-llāh,[2] meaning "party of God") is a broadly popular Shi’a Islamist organization and political party in Lebanon, comprising a military and a civilian arm. Formed in 1982, its primary goals have been to defend Southern Lebanon against Israel and to secure the release of Lebanese from Israeli prisons.[3] It also denies Israel’s right to exist.[4] The current Secretary-General of Hezbollah is Sheikh Sayyed Hassan Nasrallah, who has held the office since 1992.

Although Hezbollah has been blamed in a number of terrorist acts, there is disagreement in the international political community about whether it merits designation as a terrorist organization in full, in part, or not at all.[4][5][6] While the US, UK, Israel, and some other countries see the Hizbullah as a terrorist organization, among the general populations of Lebanon and the Muslim world, it is widely regarded as a legitimate resistance against Israel.[4][7]

They don't stand for anything other than hate. Any group of people that would willfully keep civilians from fleeing a war zone in order to make the other side look bad when civilian casualties pile up are nothing but scum sucking bottom feeders.

Add to that, this wouldn't be happening if they and the government that allows them to continue to exist had just turned over two soldiers and not killed an innocent 18 year old Israeli settler. It really boils down to that.

Why would America give a known terrorist organization "fair" treatment. Why would we, or why should we?

I'm a tan athiest from America.

No clue and this question was on before and just got hate answers. I hope you get a real one. I will check back. Try a translation program from arabic to english if that is the language it is in or google meaning and the word. I will check back.

Any people without a canned cut and paste answer? Is the literal answer "party of god" Is that the literal translation?

You got a ton of idiotic answer, but what should I expect. There are a ton of idiot americans.

Hezbollah is a group of terrorists as has been proven over, over and over again. They are not a religious freedom group or freedom fighters. They are simply the 'hitman' of Iran and other major middle eastern terrorist orginizations. They represent blowing up your enemies instead of trying to fix them diplomatically like civilized folk.

America and Israel should be going much harder on them because they will not treat us with the same kindness as we are giving them.

They are wrong.

I am an athiest, white and from Tennessee.

To me it means Insane Fantical Islamic Terrorist Evil Group that Kill at will without regard to race, religion, gender, young or old. And that is Very Wrong. America treats them more than fair, or we would be in Israel kicking their butt's back to Hell where they belong.

I think they are freedom fighters trying to stop a bunch of Nazis in the White house and Congress and in the UK parliament from occupying the middle east for oil and profit and The New World Order.

They stand for people spelling Hezbollah right.

They came from Iran, offered Lebanon support and gave them support, then took over the whole country altogether.
