i want it to only show to me and my fiance, or someone of my choosing. the whole world doesn't have to see it. there are certian situations where tattoos just aren't appropriate. i work in an office environment, i'm getting married in Oct., then we're going to try to have a baby.

I say on your hip just below your underwear line. that way you could show it off if you wore a super low bikini or something but it isn't super obvious like the "tramp stamp"

Having over 90 hrs. worth of ink under my skin I feel I can really help you.
My best advice is to choose a script, look long and hard for an artist you feel really comfortable with, and listen closely to their advise. Being a female you wouldn't want to got with the bikini line in front - pregnancy and the probability of stretch marks might ruin the tattoo. Across the lower back's a pretty bad place to get ink now also, almost any tattoo there is commonly referred to as a "tramp stamp".
Think more about something unique, and less about privacy. My advice - far down the back, along the spine, ending just above the hips. Don't let talk of the pain scare you away from that. All tattoos hurt, but it would be aesthetically awesome and pretty private so long as your script wasn't too large.
Just remember to find an artist you feel comfortable with, don't listen to friends or go to the nearest shop. Women tattooists seem to be really good for first timers. Remember, Think Before You Ink. And good luck!

Both my daughter and granddaughter have tattoos, they look like tramp stamps.
You want a tattoo, but you want to cover it up. This does not make a lot of sense. Just like having ears pierced, don't you wear earrings to show off the piercing. Why go through the pain then cover it up?
Daughter and granddaughter ask questions as to how the tramp stamps can be covered up (removed). As they got older they are ashamed of them..

thats alot of letters and if in old english it will have to be about
one inch at lest per letter .the thing about weight is something to think about .put right about where the curve of the top of your butt starts .half over one cheek and the other half on the other almost like a rainbow but not that much of a curve save the small of your back for something better or put trible in the small and kinda let it warp around the letters .it would help to know what the hell that word means

You should either get it on the back of your right of left shoulder or on the left or right of your back hip. It will be covered up when you want it to be and it will look really hot and sexy when you wear a sleeveless shirt or a short shirt that shows your hip tattoo or a bathing suit. But it's just a suggestion.

It is all about YOUR choice, it is your body so you should ultimately decide where to get it. Make sure wherever you put it, it conforms to your body and compliments your body.
A good private place is your back. Everybody (including me) gets them on their lower back, but a neat place it between your shoulder blades or mid back.
Keep in mind what it will look like 40 years from now when you are old and saggy... make sure you put it in a place where weight gain/loss or pregnancy will not affect it.
Good luck and happy tattooing!

The nicest place for a tatoo would be right where the "string" part begins in a string bikini...just a little bit higher. It's easy to hide when you want to, and easy to show as well. Three words: LOW RISE JEANS! Perfect!

You can have it put on your anywhere on your back. I have 1 on each of my ankles and not many people see them there. You can also have it put on your bum. That is where my mom has one and not many people know about it.
Don't do below the belly button. If you plan on having kids it will just strach it out and then it will look very bad.
And it will not give you skin cancer.

I'd say to get it right below your belt line on your front hip. If you're looking for a good place in Nashville to get the ink go to Icon....they did some of my work and I love it.
