Why is that so many people on here CAN"T SPELL?

May have a lot to do with the users ages. It appears that there are a lot of little kids on here asking really foolish questions and who do not know how to use the english language properly.

There have been questions about this before. Ho hum. Its not ususally a spelling thing, but more of a typo thing. Not everyone sits at a keyboard all day. And not everybody gives a crap about the spell check. Anal retentive obsessive compulsive people who cant handle a little mispelling and typos should probably avoid these types of interactions.

Because sometimes people on here type faster then their minds can process the spelling of the words that they are typing. If you really have that big of a problem with people not spelling right then dont come on to yahoo anwsers anymore.

It is true that many people are not bothered about the spellings. but I feel that as long as one has succeeded in conveying the idea and as long as few of us have understood it, it is fine. Language is after all for conveying ideas, thoughts and for communication. So let's pardon them for the minor faults. Sometimes it is awful as some questioners are not at all bothered about spellings, grammar etc. as they are unable to convey what they want. Let us all work together to make them learn more and more through this media. Let English grow well further and more and more people learn it.

I said the same thing the other day, they are just being lazy in some cases and in others, I think that they are trying to start a new trend, with half spelling words, I think it's dumb and plan lazy, I tell my girls all the time, use the spell check, and always check your work but, do they?
I try to use it everytime..............

To annoy you apparently ;o) I didn't even notice the Check Spelling until you said something honestly. Most people can spell but are lazy and could care less about checking it.

I also have to mention that we have some awfully clever people on yahoo, misspelling things on their post on purpose.

well some people are ignorant, like me, and don't use spell check because they don't care or they think the can spell. But that is only my opinion.

One reason may be that the media promotes illiteracy through the display of people using slang and ebonics on tv and radio. I can't stand people who do not know the difference between "your" and "you're." There are a bunch of f u c k ing idiots out here surfing the world wide web.

My guess is that too many of these people don't read. They get their "education" from video (TV likely) so they can speak but can't spell the words they utilize in their vocabularies. What a shame.

Because some times the person is in a hurry to get there answer in before someone else beats them to it. The way I do it if I can't read the answer it is ignored what's the use in complaining about something I have no control over.
