Why must you diss people for there taste in music?

what is the point in telling people there music sucks?
i don't t tell u ur music sucks when i don't like it. what right do u have to say it to me?

i understand that ppl have have freddom of speech. it's just they label me for something i know they have never even heard. it's as if i can make up a band, and they would instantly say it was a load of **** jus by looking at me.

how dare u call me EMO!!!! I'm not a ******* EMO!!!

i'm using "u" as general speech and not refering to any one person, i am sorry if it came across as me acusing an individual.

To put it simply, people just want to try to degrade others by their tastes in music. Also, people are generally narrow minded to music which is the polar opposite to their taste so their natural reaction is to diss.

I try not to diss people's choices. It's just automatic that some people don't like certain things and they happen to be just as vocal as the people who do like those things.

I do think there is a merit of quality that you can speak about though. Like I can say, using for an example, that I think Britney Spears can't sing because, based on live performances of her stuff, she sounds bad. Or that I think a certain band sounds bad because their drummer is not good or their guitarist can't play more than 3-chords or they aren't original. Critiquing a performer isn't bad, but is often claimed to be a "diss" by hardcore fans.

That's a hard one. If you don't like it that's OK by me because I might not like yours. But yea there will always be people that make it a point to tell you how much the think your music sucks. That's freedom of speach. Tell them it would be a boring place if everybody liked the same things. Just because they don't like your music don't meen you are a bad person.

I don't tell that because I'm told that all the time. It's very sad. And I agree, I don't think anyone has that right to tell what music is the best and what's not. Music is music and a lot of people listen to the same things. Saying it sucks is like saying to millions of people, now that's crap.

Cant say that I have, I once said that someones choice in music made my ears bleed but I never dissed them. Anyway stop being so sensitive, if somebody disses you for the music you listen to - so what that's just one persons opinion!!!

They're in the dark ages. It part of the parents or older brother/sister fault from kick'in their a_s everyday. Their impression of society is that you are an outsider and they have to hate you for their insecure reasons. Next time step up all over their face and see how fast they back down.

I like all music, so I hardly say to someone that their music sucks, and even if it did... I'd just keep it to myself

UNLESS, they are one of those annoying people who BLARE their annoying music. So loud that all you can hear is the bass... then yea... I might say something. But probably just "turn it down"

I don't every say that to anyone, everyones taste in music is different and no person has the right to insult anyone elses taste in music. Unless it's rap, because that isn't music. It's a series of clicks, whistles and obscene words.

But people do have freedom of speech (for the most part) so let it roll off your back. Who cares what they think?

I agree.........
People are ignorant and can't see past their own nose.
Their world revolves around them and they try to lash out at everyone for everything thing.
They are just here to argue and start ****.
Don't let them rile you.
They aren't worth it.
If someone here answers with sarcasm, just read their other answers and questions and you will see what I mean.
