im 1 day overdue in my pregnancy and been avised to eat a pineapple can this start of my labour?

this is my second pregnancy i was due yesterday and really fed up as i wen't to date with my first but i've been advised to eat a pineapple to help start my labour

Some people say that eating FRESH pineapple can bring on labor. It can't hurt to try it.

Have sex. Semen ripens the cervix and orgasm can bring on contractions.

Walk. It can help bring the baby down into the pelvis farther and put more pressure on your cervix.

DO NOT take castor oil. It will give you the runs and make you really uncomfortable. And it still might not start labor. ALSO...if it gives you the runs it could do the same to baby! It increases the chances of baby having his first BM in the womb and aspirating it.

I know many people eat fresh pineapple to bring on labor. Only thing is if you are not dilated or effaced at all, you can try everything in the world and it won't induce labor. The pineapple, sex, walking, and all that stuff only progresses you if you have startedto labor already.

i never heard of eating a pineapple to induce pregnancy. i was 3 weeks late when i came into the world. but if you want to induce pregnancy then do whatever it takes but you should wait until the baby is ready to come out.

I've never heard of that. I've heard of castor oil, and I've heard that it really works well, although I never tried it. Both my girls came early. Good Luck and congratulations!
