My daughter was about 13 months when she started speaking sentences, but anywhere from 1-2 1/2 years is normal, so don't worry.

Children begin to put more words together around the age of three or four. Not the way adults speak, but more like groups of words. Enough to get their points across.

Around age two they should start attempting to string words together, by three they should be comfortable using complete sentences.

It actually depends on the child. And how you talk to them. my daughter was like 2years old and my son was like 1 1/2/.You should never talk baby talk to a child it will not help them pronounce their words correctly
