I am sorry to disappoint you if you are a Sunderland supporter, but I think they have very little chance - indeed I thought that before the start of the season. Two reasons. Firstly, Sunderland lacks money - it was incredible they managed to get promoted to the Premiership a year ago given their thin resources. Secondly, a club needs strong ownership and management to get up from the Championship. Sunderland are addressing this on the right lines, but it takes more than a season.

There is a lot of strong competition in the Championship and to get promoted you have to do a lot of things right. Birmingham City, West Bromwich Albion and Leeds United are all big clubs, and then you have the likes of Ipswich, Southampton, Norwich, Wolves, Preston......

there are still another 44 matches to be played in the Championship & i still think they still have a chance of promotion.

few seasons ago, Crystal Palace was languishing near the relegation zone in the league during the Christmas period but they managed to sneak into the play-off zone at the end of the season.

they must now start winning matches or they could fall further should they did not improve in the next coming matches.

Yes. The number of games in the Championship means that all is not lost if you have a bad start.
Palace had a dreadful season the year they won the play-offs but a VERY late rally saw them sneak in.

will ask my uncle.... he is the chairman of rubbish? Sunderland, but he is fairly realistic.... will let you know when he has finished pretending not to know who they are!.... actually he is diplomatic; he will pretend not to hear the question I expect....
