Don't think that. If you have good tastes, and you did study hard. Then those people who didn't hire you missed it a lot. Show 'em whatya got. Don't stop. There was a model that took over 100th time of interviewing for advertisements untill he finally got chosen. I think he's pretty popular now. But see. If you've got something, make those who didn't pick you regret. Show 'em all you've got.
I'm am 75% supporting you!
Why only 75?
Because of attitude like a lot of people say.
Because of words you've used. Freaking job? No one ever likes jobs, but their important! not freaking boring thing.
Because of the sudden bolt. Don't just say LAZY IT"S BECAUSE NOBODY HIRES US! Who said that everyone thinks that blacks are unemployed. I have a friend who is black and she is working awesome! plus, no attitude.
My tips:
I would sugess that you do some homework before interviews. Like maybe write down some positive statements about yourself.
Erm, practicing answer your questions not by, O, or Yea. Instead, Say: Yes. Make yourself seem professional and serious. No one wants a goof off in their company or anything.
Next, dress appropiate according to your job. When you're going for it. It's only once and the only chance. Don't give them a bad look at first.
Do greetings first. When you go in. Do greetings
Do eye contact when speaking. Pro...
Do not cut in sentences
Do not slouch down. Sit up straight to give a good impression
Sleep well the day before. So you don't get dark circles around your eyes. Letting them know that you care for yourself and does things right by giving yourself enough energy from sleep.
Organize yourself. If you step in and forgot your interview papers or any thing nessessary, their gonna think you're not serious enough and can't even handle such a small process.

I don't know how long you have been looking for a job but I have been looking for about 3 months - REALLY LOOKING - lots of interviews and I have 2 college degrees, I am working on a master's degree and have tons of experience. I am about as white as they come and I know many black people who have had no problem finding work. Maybe you need to try different job search tactics - unless someone has flat out told you that you weren't being hired because you are black (and I highly doubt it) then maybe you are coming off as the racist one!

If your interview shows that attitude, no one will ever hire you. Are you dressed, trained and looking thrilled to apply for the job? Are you looking for a job or a career (hint: a job pays the bills, a career makes you happy and helps you grow as a person)... there are lots of jobs out there - are you willing to start at the bottom and work your way up? Job interviews are selling - you're selling yourself and why YOU above anyone else is the best person for THIS job. Good luck.

I am a white male and have trouble getting a job. It's tough out there. If you think being a minority is a disadvantage in the search for employment, try being a white male. Affirmative action has seen that minorities with lesser qualifications get preferred treatment. Sorry just the plain truth.

Use a temp agency the places you work at wont know what color you are they just call the agency and ask for some one to do some work.
Like apple one, or remady, or man power.
You will totaly get a job.
Well..... or you could paint yourself white for an interview.

do not play the race card cause that does not work anymore . If you are qualified , educated and have a desire to work you WILL find a good job . If not you won't whether you are arabic , black , white , yellow , or whatever .

Dude, don't lean on your color. IF that is true that they don't hire you because of your color, that is their loss of a good worker, right!
Get some more training in some areas and don't use your color as a handicap.
I know lots of white folks that will hire a good workers regardless of color!

I feel the same way. Now, people are telling me that no one is going to hire me for being overweight. Black, overweight, disabled, & female. How much more disadvantaged can I get?

I don't agree with that statement at all! Businesses do not discriminate against color of skin. Maybe it's just you and your attitude when you go in for an interview.

I don't know where you live but My McDonalds has lots of dark skinned people and plenty of spanish.
I don't understand racism, I refuse to call people "African-American" any more than I would call someone "Italian-American" or "German-American".
