Why do the prepy, stuck up girls at school hate emo/punk people?

I am emo/punk and so are all my freinds, i just wanted to know why all the prepy stuck up bitc.hes always try to make fun of us.
It hurts my feelings and i was wondering why they do it.

Because they are stuck-up and they think that they are better then every one else but they arent.

1. They are flawed humans that learned that behavior from their parents at an early age. They obviously were not taught social etiquette in the home.

2. They do not understand you, nor your friends. They may be secretly jealous that you & your friends have the guts to be yourselves and expressive. They follow status quo because they are sheep.

3. When they say inappropriate things to you & your friends, laugh it off and say "Proud of it. You should be so lucky to be me." Then turn your back to them & take off.

4. You just had the last word. Leave it at that. Make no more replies. Wave your hand up indicating "Don't waste my time." Keep walking away.

5. You just deflated their ridiculous attempt at a superiority act & showed them that you take them lightly. You've dismissed them as unimportant.

6. I might add, high school goes by fast, so this is trite in the long run of your life. Point being, do not deliberately provoke those girls. Avoid them. If they speak to you again, wave them off & keeping going where you're going.

It is often simply a matter of lack of maturity. However, it's sad, but true, that all of them won't mature beyond this mentality. For some of them, they will always need to make someone else feel small in order to make themselves feel superior. My mother-in-law still behaves this way and she's in her 60s. I deal with her by calling her on it when she hurts my feelings or someone else's. But you have to choose your battles wisely with people like this. Sometimes you have to be the bigger person and ignore them.

Having said that... In high school I also once typed up a very grown-up sounding anonymous letter and sent it to the parents of a girl who was so notoriously nasty that something had to be done. It went something like this:

Dear Mr. and Mrs. ____________,
I feel compelled to bring an on-going problem with your daughter, ________ to your attention. After several students complained of her constant rudeness and harassment I observed her rather closely for a period of several weeks. I find the complaints to be both valid and of great concern. She singles out multiple people with name-calling and snide remarks on a daily basis. I'm informing you in hopes that you can handle it yourselves before I'm forced to take official action at school. If something isn't done immediately I fear it may impact her future both socially and academically. I would hate to see her ostracized or expelled.

I've always wondered about this hatred and think they hate me cause I'm different. But than I think of this quote I heard. It goes " You laugh at me because I am different but I laugh at you because you are all the same."

dont worry once you are out of high school it all changes and everyone gets along.....strange how that happens but it does. They just feel as if they have to make someone feel down to make themselves feel better...like a superior thing or something...dont let them know that they get to you or you will be the center of their jokes....
