It will depend on the phone, but I know that the LG8100 has very good sound quality. It belonged to my cousin's. Both my mom and I have MP3 player cell phones, of two different Samsung models. The LG speakers are so much louder and clearer. All of our phones are just a few months old.
I've heard the same from other people that LG MP3 players have better speakers. Also just to mention Sprint has the LG Fusic which allows you to use the speakers in your car or home stereo to play MP3 from the cellphone. Best idea for some loud music.

DONT buy a nextel, they distort the music. any Sony Ericcson music phone is good and for a really good price you could get the SE W600i, it has stereo sound and its really loud and clear.

Moto E815 is so loud that I can be 20 feet away, and on the highest level, it will peirce my ears. MP# too.
