I don't know how many fish you have in your pond but for gold fish you need one gallon of water per each inch of fish. For koi it is 200 gallons per fish because they grow fast and large. You can by test kits at pet stores and this will tell you pH and ammonia levels. In cold climates you will need at least 3 feet deep water to keep your fish alive over winter. I have gold fish and koi in my pond and love them! Good luck!

it might not be your water, you probably bought some sick fish,
unfortunetly, most of the goldfish and koi you buy are going to be sick, just keep trying till you get some healthy ones
treat you pond with aquarium salt (1 lb per 100 gal 0f water)
it's best to quarantine any new fish before you put them in your pond
Good Luck

POND TEST KITS WORK WELL. IF YOU HAVE CHLORINE IN YOUR WATER THAT COULD BE A FACTOR. I HAVE A POND SET UP. I HAVE WELL WATER AND WE HAVE A BIG NATURAL POND WITH ALL KINDS OF CREATURES AND PLANTS. I SET UP A SMALL POND NEAR MY HOUSE. I FILLED THE POND UP WITH WELL WATER AND WENT TO THE BIG NATURAL POND AND GOT MY PLANTS, TADPOLES, CRAYFISH, FISH, AND SALAMANDERS. THEY ARE ALL DOING GREAT. GOOD LUCK! HOPE THE TEST KIT WORKS.

Hmmm, first of all. What do you want to test for ? There is lotsa different testing kit at the pet store and their advice should be good enough.
