Color, playdough, something to engage his imagination. Have him help you bake something simple, like cookies. If you make cut-out cookies, he can learn shapes and colors as you cut them out and decorate them.
Play with toy trucks and cars outside or make a fort with blankets and a cardtable.

Take him outside and play trucks. Give him a spray bottle like they use at the hair salon and let him make pictures on the sidewalk with water, sidewalk chalk, make an obstacle course for him to complete out of objects around the house. Good luck!

What about some game like Go Fish? thats easy enough. Or you can play ball outside. When I used to babysit we watched a lot of videos like Disney, and made a lot of crafts. That way they are preoccupied and you can relax!

Go to a craft store and pick up some kits (foamy frog, house, etc.). These kits run from about $2-$10 depending on how many projects you can make per kit. You can also check out Michaels.com for kids' craft projects and instructions. http://www.michaels.com/art/online/static?page=kids
Good luck!
