i live in Buffalo, NY, anyone know of a store i can buy one at, i am trying to avoid ordering it online?

Look in your local dance supply and costume stores. Also try adult boutiques. They usually carry costumes.
Look in the yellow pages, online or in the book, to find the business locations.

our belly dancing troup made our own costumes and it's also the least expensive route. It's not difficult, but you do have to know how to at least hand sew. If you have a sewing machine, or know someone with one, it's easier.
I did have to hand cover the bra though and you have to use more of a "hardshell" for that.

Another thing you might do is call up any of the belly dancers in your area, they are listed online, they might can tell you if there is a shop locally.

Flip flops would go well with the outfit. If you can't dance in them, you can easley remove them and dance in your bare feet.
