I feel the burn on my power bill too but everyone so far is right. reducing the power supply in your computer will just cause the computer to fail. Under powering devices is just as bad as over powering them. Try turning our power managment to max savings. this means to screen will turn off in 10 min and HD in 20 and the computer will go into low power mode in 30. Also change from crt to lcd.

Your pc only draws the power it needs.
Electrical savings from changing the power supply would be negligible.

By far, you save more money when turning off the lights if you leave the room.

It will save you money on electricity , but if you have a real fast and strong PC and you go to a Power supply that doesnt have enough Ummppf to run all the things inside your PC...certain things will fail....so defenetly for a new computer do not drop under 350Watts

PC power supplies are typically only 250-300 watts. Reducing the power of yours will likely cause your PC not to work or to burn out.
