Does Proactive really work and if so,how much did you pay for it?

My little sister has really bad back acne and some acne on her face and I wanted to know if it really works before i buy it.And when you called in to order it did you pay what they said you would pay? How much did you pay? Thanks for your help!

Proactive really works and I have gotten mine from a friend so I have not had to purchase yet.

Go to Costco or Walmart and get this stuff called Acne Free. It is ALOT cheaper than Proactiv and I found it works alot better too. I tried the Proactiv and the 1st month is $19.99 and after that they charge you $49.99 a month for it! NOT worth it. The Acne Free is on average between $25 & $27!!!

I tried it... and it just made my acne worse so I stop using it. I didnt' have that much in the first place, just when I get so stressed out. So, I decided to try it. I wish I didn't. It was a waste of money for me, and it didn't clear up my skin like they claim it would. I paid $19.99 ( I think) the first shipment and then after that, it was regular price.
Good thing about Proactiv is that your sister can alwasy stop using it if it doesn't work for her. She can always go to a dermatologist and they can prescribe something for her acne.

Yes, I used it a couple of years ago, and it works. Paid about $30 for a 2 or 3 month supply. This is still cheaper than a visit to a dermatologist and the expensive cremes they will prescribe, so I think it's worth a try. They have been in business selling this for a long time, I think over 5 years.

It's sold at a mall near me, and that's where I bought mine. I don't remember the price, but it definitely didn't work for me. I didn't have it that bad, but I figured that I could give it a shot and have completely clear skin, but since it hadn't started working in a month, I stopped using it. Maybe my acne just wasn't bad enough for me to see a difference.
It wasn't harsh, and it never burned at all. I got a free face mask type of thing with my purchase, and that stuff did dry my skin out like crazy.
I would recommend it over going to the dermatologist though. The dermatologist is way more expensive and didn't help me at all.

it definately works, my girlfriend had horrible acne as a teen and started using it when she was in her early 30's it helped so much and she uses all the time now. at their website, they have some specials going on, but you can start as little as 39.95 or get the deluxe set for 59.95. you might want to try ebay as well. alot of times people buy stuff and never use it and then sell it on ebay at a much reduced cost. good luck

My friend got it and it worked pretty well. It's not like a miracle product or anything though. It works pretty much the same as department store products. She payed $19.95 + shipping & handling, which was like 6 dollars. On TV they say it's $39.95, but she found an ad in COSMOgirl, for $19.95.

She says she prefers the Clinique line of products though. (cleanser, toner, and scrub, i think).


But keep in mind, it didn't exactly work wonderfully for her, but everyones skin is different. It may work for your sister.

I used it through high school and it worked very well, but you have to follow the directions to a "t."

I think it was $60 per month or something like that. I'm not too sure on the price because my mom was the one who ordered it.

iI think for the 5 peice kit it costs 60 bucks and it lasts about 3 months. IT REAALLY DOES WORK. but only if you use it like the directions tell you to. If you dont use the whole kit it wont work. But it has worked great for me
